CSTAT Hiring for a Biostatistician MSU Posting #1765

CSTAT has an open slot for a Specialist; we intend to fill it with someone who has the skills of a Biostatistician. The Specialist will work with the Director and Associate Director to carry out CSTAT’s mission and will provide statistical consulting services directly to our clients. We are seeking a person who can increase the quality and quantity of sponsored research at MSU by contributing to pre-award statistical consulting, including grant preparation, writing analysis sections of grants, sample size planning, development of research specific aims and hypotheses, and tailoring statistical approaches to research aims. In addition, the position requires experience in: serving as the lead statistician on projects; publishing research; preparing bids (cost estimates); offering resources and advice to clients on research design and statistical methods; explaining concepts, methods, and how to run or interpret statistical analyses.

Graduate Student Statistical Consultant

The Center for Statistical Training and Consulting will be hiring a graduate student statistical consultant on the hourly payroll for Summer 2017, with possible continuation into future semesters depending on performance, staffing needs, and available funding. Doctoral or master’s students with strong quantitative methods, statistics, and research design skills are invited to apply.
