Elements of data dictionaries

A data dictionary is an essential tool in that improves data capture, management, and sharing.  This seminar will use the data dictionary format from the research data collection software REDCap, however the concepts and advantages presented can benefit the construction of any data dictionary.  We will discuss the life cycle of a dictionary with concrete examples of how it will develop, change, be used to operate on data, and allow for the delivery of meaningful data.
