R Tutorial I: Introduction to R and R markdown
This course is a hands-on introduction to R where participants are guided to create an R markdown document that will save various steps of R code and results. Basic functions and operations are covered as well as types of data and data structures. We’ll learn about importing and exporting datasets, initial data explorations, and graphical summaries.
R markdown allows for a reproducible report that can be automized for different data sets and exports the report to a Word, html, or pdf file format.
Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop with R and R-studio installed. Instructions will be emailed to participants.
(This is a weekend workshop.)
CSTAT workshops are free to the MSU community. If you are unable to attend after registration, please give at least a 48 hour notice or you will incur a $50 cancellation fee.
