For the evaluation, research, and monitoring in healthcare research, various statistical methods have been applied using publicly available data.
Two case studies will be presented:
For each study, presenter will briefly introduce for the data used for studies.
- Difference in cervical cancer screening and follow-up for black and white women in the United States.
- In this study, descriptive statistics and difference-in-difference analysis applied to examine the cervical cancer screening
- Prediction of functional decline using Health and Retirement study (HRS) data using machine learning.
- In this study, seven different machine learning algorithms are applied to predict functional decline in 2 years and 4 years.
- Short introduction of machine learning and application to actual study
