Analysis of sympathetic innervation and myocardial substrate in patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy
In patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy, regional cardiac sympathetic denervation has been found to be a predictor of potentially lethal ventricular arrhythmias (VA). Areas of mismatch between sympathetic innervation (upper row) and electroanatomical voltage (lower row) are relevant for arrhythmogenesis. Different analysis methods are applied to determine the influence of sympathetic innervation on different substrate parameters and VA ablation target areas.
