Genetic variation between population cohorts

Cardiovascular risk factors and genetic variation was compared between a migrant population and a native German population. Data on cardiovascular disease and diabetes, demographics, and lifestyle factors from two retrospective cohort studies were analyzed. A genome wide association analysis was conducted to identify differences between migrants and controls as they may relate to cardiovascular disease.
