Owl behavioral categories
A CART model was implemented to classify acoustic features and owl characteristics for 343 observations with owls at various stages of maturity. Exploratory data analyses and redundancy analysis of the independent variables were used prior to arriving at a predictive model for the types of vocalizations to express contentment, contact, begging, hostility, defensiveness, or avoidance behavior.
