Congratulations to Sichao Wang and Sanket Jantre on their outstanding work in supporting the teaching and learning missions of Michigan State University, and for earning the recognition of being one of this year’s Educator Award recipients.
In addition to their excellent work as CSTAT Research Assistants, Sichao and Sanket have also served as president or project leaders in the student organization Statistics in the Community (STATCOM) that provides pro bono statistical consulting to local nonprofit, governmental, and community service organizations.
I am honored to be selected to receive the 2021 #iteachmsu Educator Award for my teaching and consulting work as a graduate student during my time at Center for Statistical Training and Consulting (CSTAT). I would like to thank CSTAT statisticians and my clients for this heartening recognition. I would also like to thank STT department for sponsoring my CSTAT research assistantship. I especially am glad that my online consulting work helped my clients during this uncertain and challenging academic year due to COVID-19.

I would like to thank CSTAT being such a supportive family to help me grow professionally and at the same time make a positive impact on MSU community.
