Strength in Numbers

Dr. Marianne Huebner, MSU's director of the Center for Statistical Training and Consulting (CSTAT), is also an avid Olympic weightlifting competitor and has made significant research contributions related to the performance development of male and female athletes in Olympic weightlifting. Her statistical research involves developing a systematic approach to Initial Data Analysis (IDA) which takes significant time during the research process and informs researchers on data quality and data properties that may influence the analysis and interpretation of the results.
