Writing high impact papers: CSTAT Self-paced D2L Course

This is a self-paced course on D2L and is open to all MSU students and researchers. Open during Fall Semester: September 1 to December 15, 2021.
Participants will be guided through reporting guidelines from the EQUATOR Network (https://www.equator-network.org) for randomized trials, observational studies, systematic reviews, and for diagnostic and prognostic studies. These were developed for health research, but apply to other disciplines. Participants will be able to apply these guidelines to improve the writing of their manuscript or of a conference abstract.
Cost: Free without certificate (no capstone project) or $59 for certificate with instructor graded capstone project (conference abstract review and constructive comments)

R Skills for data science: CSTAT Certificate course

CSTAT will be offering a Certificate Course beginning October 7, 2021
Times: Thursdays 5:00-7:30pm for 5 weeks plus a capstone project.
Objectives: Participants will be able to use R for beginning and intermediate tasks for data management and statistical analyses. Participants will be able to write a data analysis report using R Markdown.
The course will be offered online, but there may be one session scheduled that can be in-person or online.
