Dermatological testing and monitoring of acne patients for prediabetes. With both acne and diabetes incidence increasing in the United States, it is unclear if metabolic abnormalities are a risk factor for acne. This was a systematic review (Pubmed and EMBASE) to identify research articles about insulin resistance in acne patients and controls.
