We're looking for someone with a doctoral degree in statistics, biostatistics, or related quantitative/STEM field for a joint appointment (50-50) with the College of Human Medicine with interest in collaborations on research projects and grants. Together, we will increase our capacity for high quality, reproducible research output, develop our partnerships.
We're looking for applicants who want to join a fun, passionate, and supportive group of people who enjoy working together and helping each other. Hopefully, that's you!

CSTAT's Research Associate, Sam Manski, was selected to participate in the Fall 2024 cohort of community engaged scholars. Fellows will design a community engaged research (CER) project in partnership with community members and are paired with a senior MSU faculty mentor. Congratulations Sam!

Congratulations! Sam Manski receives Excellence in Teaching Award
The College of Natural Sciences awards Excellence-In-Teaching Citations to graduate teaching assistants who have distinguished themselves by the care they have given and the skill they have shown in meeting their classroom responsibilities. Sam Manski receives this award on Friday, Nov 17, for doing an excellent job during her graduate studies in the Department of Statistics and Probability. Congratulations Sam!
CSTAT helps with new statistical model for scaling weightlifting performance

CSTAT participates in Data Science Consulting Collaborative Workshops
"Models for Sustainable and Inclusive Data Science Consulting and Collaboration in Higher Education" is funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. CSTAT Director Marianne Huebner participants together with leaders from 25 universities.
Dr. Frank Lawrence celebrates 10 years at CSTAT
Dr. Frank Lawrence joined MSU and CSTAT in September 2012. He supports researchers in the College of Education and collaborates across different disciplines including epidemiology, psychology, media, communication disorder. He contributes his extensive knowledge in structural equation models, complex surveys and randomized trials to research studies.
