We're looking for someone with a doctoral degree in statistics, biostatistics, or related quantitative/STEM field with interest in collaborations on research projects and grants. Together, we will increase our capacity for high quality, reproducible research output, develop our partnerships.

Attention graduate students: CSTAT is inviting research assistant (RA) applications and will be interviewing applicants for Spring 2025 with possible continuation into future semesters. This is an excellent opportunity to get experience with applying statistical methods to interesting research topics, developing consulting skills, learning from experienced mentors, and expanding your professional network.

Award for Steven Pierce from the American Journal of Evaluation
Steven Pierce, CSTAT's senior statistician will be recognized at Annual Conference of the American Evaluation Association and receives the AJE's Excellence in Reviewing Award chosen from 80 reviewers and 121 reviews.
His skills in evaluating and improving research designs and statistical analysis plans for projects and grant proposals and providing helpful comments and suggestions are much valued by his CSTAT colleagues and his collaborators across MSU. Congratulations and thank you, Steve!
CSTAT welcomes Guoli Zhou to the statistics team!
Dr. Zhou joined CSTAT in September as our newest full-time statistics research specialist!
His research focus is on analyzing biomedical and bioinformatics data to improve patient care. He supports researchers from the College of Human Medicine and from across MSU.

Congratulations! Sam Manski has been selected for the Community-Engaged Research Fellows program
CSTAT's Research Associate, Sam Manski, was selected to participate in the Fall 2024 cohort of community engaged scholars. Fellows will design a community engaged research (CER) project in partnership with community members and are paired with a senior MSU faculty mentor. Congratulations Sam!
Congratulations! Sam Manski receives Excellence in Teaching Award
The College of Natural Sciences awards Excellence-In-Teaching Citations to graduate teaching assistants who have distinguished themselves by the care they have given and the skill they have shown in meeting their classroom responsibilities. Sam Manski receives this award on Friday, Nov 17, for doing an excellent job during her graduate studies in the Department of Statistics and Probability. Congratulations Sam!
CSTAT helps with new statistical model for scaling weightlifting performance
